Madhu Road Parish has been a beacon of faith and a source of spiritual nourishment for its community since its establishment. The parish owes its foundation to the dedicated efforts of Fr. Arulpragasam, who became the pioneer parish priest on April 21, 2016. Initially designated as a Quasy Parish, it has since grown into a vibrant spiritual hub under the guidance of its successive parish priests.

The first appointed parish priest, Fr. Roshan, served from July 8, 2018, to July 25, 2021, leaving behind a lasting impact on the community. With his leadership and pastoral care, he fostered a sense of unity and deepened the faith of the parishioners.

On August 5, 2021, a new chapter began as the mission was entrusted to Fr. Mangalathasan, SSS, who now serves as the superior and parish priest. Assisting him in his duties is Fr. Hashendra, SSS, who takes on the role of the Assistant Administrator of Madhu Shrine. Together, they continue to guide and nurture the faith of the community.

Madhu Road Parish is composed of four churches dedicated to Our Lady of Good Voyage, Madhu Rd being the Parish Church, and three substations: St. Anthony at 2nd mile post, St. Joseph Vaz at Poomalarnthan, and Infant Jesus at Thekkam. These places of worship provide spiritual solace and serve as focal points for prayer and reflection.

Within the parish, a close-knit community of 75 families finds strength in their shared faith. The parish also hosts three pre-schools, providing educational opportunities for young children and fostering their spiritual growth from an early age.

Various associations actively contribute to the parish’s vibrant life, including the Altar Servers Association, Holy Childhood, Catechists Association, St. Mary’s Youth Society, Liturgy Committee, St. Joseph Association, Legion of Mary, and the Parish Council. These associations engage parishioners in different ministries and activities, strengthening their sense of belonging and active participation in the parish community.

Madhu Road Parish stands as a testament to the power of faith, community, and the transformative influence of dedicated clergy and committed parishioners. As it continues to grow and flourish, it remains a source of inspiration and a sanctuary for all who seek solace, guidance, and a deepened connection with their faith.
